THE VERY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. We are so thrilled to see our colleagues once again. There maybe new enrollees. It’s nice to be rubbing shoulders with our classmates and friends once more. We will get to meet our old professors once more. Will they be our mentors once more? It’s so good to see them all again. See them again – the canteen staff, the ol’ guards and the old lady that sells newspapers. They are our family outside of home. And I consider the flea pest control experts family too!

Going back in time. One year, just one year ago. The start of classes. School is now officially going on. The rooms are now filled with students all raring to start the new schoolyear. Unknown to all, fleas have been living and building up inside the school campus. Because the school is deserted, the fleas took the opportunity to make it their breeding ground. At first, nobody noticed. The irritations and scratching of two or three students in one subject. Then some in the middle. Not noticeable since the students are not making a big thing out of it. Days passed and still nobody’s wiser. Finally there came a day where one class practically scratched at the same time. This brought the attention of their professor. He thought the students are making fun of him. But no, they are not making fun of him. Because of that, they became aware of the situation. The students realized that all of them are indeed scratching themselves and feeling the prickle on different parts of their body. The professor noticed that he himself have been feeling prickling sensation in his skin.

After a thorough check, it was confirmed that the whole school community have been affected by the disease. A disease brought upon by the manifestation of fleas in the campus. Classes was immediately suspended. Students and teachers alike are given medication to stop the irritation and swelling. Parents are demanding to know what happened. It was an oversight of the school officials and they admit it. They have forgotten to hire a flea pest control company to fumigate the school during the vacation.

We’re back to the present. Everybody, students and teachers alike are confident last years distressing affair will be the last. This time, the school officials made sure that the school have been treated by the flea pest control specialist during the vacation break.
