People Are Still Pinching Cars
By admin
Although the amount of car thefts that are actually occurring every year do seem to be on the fall it would still seem that many people are still doing it and obviously they are looking for a bit of extra cash by selling it on but is a stolen car really that easy to pass on?
In all honesty if you do steal a car you would not be able to sell it to an honest person because they would be asking too many questions and with more and more chop shops being shut down by the cops I have to say that sooner or later a stolen car may become a crime we rarely hear of which of course is fantastic news.
The bad thing is that a lot of these crimes are still occurring but of course the plus side is that more attention has been put on solving them and many more vehicles are being returned to their owners. Something that was introduced not long ago is making an example of anyone that was caught doing this, they do this as it will deter others from committing the crime and it seems to be working.
Many criminals are resorting to simply smashing in windows and pinching a lot of the car accessories because they are easier to take and a lot harder to track down than the car itself. As the police become for efficient at stopping people from stealing the entire car it would seem criminals will just take the smaller things.
So what on earth do you do if your car is stolen? Well the first thing that I would suggest you do is not panic, go to the nearest police station or simply call them up and tell them what has happened. The chances of you seeing your car again are actually pretty high because more focus is being put on finding people’s lost vehicles. Failing this something like gap insurance and bad credit car leasing will help you out.
